Our company policy favors digital documentation to conserve paper. We avoid the use of disposable single-use goods, when possible, and are constantly thinking about creative ways to inhabat the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle.
-
We avoid the use of RedList materials and prioritize selection of quality, non-toxic, ethically sourced, and sutainable materials.
-
We are mindful about carbon emissions due to transportation by favoring hybrid meeting formats (to reduce or eliminate commute time), alternative modes of transportion (biking, walking, public transit), and carefully planned transportation routes and frequency.
-
We utilize a variety of carbon calculation tools to capture real-time data to inform environmentally conscious design, including but not limited to ECOM (Embodied Carbon Calculator for Structural Materials), EC3: Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (Product Selection/Procurement), BEAM Estimator (Building Emissions Accounting for Materials), and more.
Ask us about Embodied Carbon, EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations), and LCAs (Life Cycle Assessments).
